OLDER – Annual high school literary magazine (3 years on staff) recieved 2 national awards each: 2 Columbia Scholastic Press Association Silver Crowns (2016, 2017), 1 Gold Crown (2018), and 3 American Scholastic Press Pacemaker Awards (2016–2018).

EXPERIENCE

FALL 2024 – SPRING 2025

Student teacher, Durham Public Schools

Collaborated with the ELA teams at Northern High School and Durham School of the Arts to design and deliver engaging instruction for Honors English III, English II (Fall 24), Honors English II, and AP English Language (Spr 25). Responsibilities included developing comprehensive lesson plans and units aligned with state standards, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills in students, and assisting with ACT test prep. Assessed and graded student work, providing meaningful feedback to support academic growth. Partnered with colleagues to adapt curriculum for diverse learners and create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.

Marketing specialist, LS3P

Contributed to an architectural team by leading marketing efforts for responsive projects, ensuring adherence to brand standards and comprehensive client-specific content. 

FALL 2021 – SUMMER 2022

Design intern, MRC

Collaborated closely with a compact branding team, providing support for both client and in-house initiatives, while also occasionally managing Etsy order fulfillment. Launched and assumed responsibility for designing and copywriting a monthly email newsletter with a reach of over 200 subscribers.

Graphic designer, NC State Student Media

Created advertising layouts for the Student Media office and for the Technician, the largest student-run newspaper at the university. Designed advertisements for the office’s staff recruitment efforts and other events.

FALL 2019 – SPRING 2023

Design editor, WINDHOVER

Successfully spearheaded the creation of a cohesive visual identity for NC State’s annual literary publication. Effectively managed a team of 12+ staff members through the editing process, demonstrating strong attention to detail and leadership skills. Streamlined communications with the printer to guarantee timely and error-free production of the book. Annual circulation 1200.

FALL 2019 – PRESENT

Freelance graphic designer

Designed a wide range of creative assets including Amazon bestseller book covers and political campaign brands for local and educational organizations. Played a pivotal role in driving 3 seperate successful election outcomes and boosting book sales revenue.

Graphic designer, NC State New Student Programs 

Created valuable resources for new students and their families at NC State, including comprehensive campus maps, schedules, and Orientation information booklets. Successfully led recruitment initiatives to build and manage a high-performing team of 40+ student employees for the summer months.

SUMMER 2019

Orientation leader, NC State New Student Programs

Worked in a 35 person team as a resource for the incoming class at NC State through the summer of 2019. Responsibilities included guiding student groups and family members through the first step of transitioning to the university. Further developed public speaking, leadership and small group facilitation skills, knowledge about NC State, and the ability to work with a team.

Living Histories: Ionian Center for the Arts and Culture

METAXATA, KEFALONIA, GREECE
Summer studio dedicated to documenting the unique experiences, practices, values, and history of Kefalonia and its people. Collaborated with a team of 8 in designing and populating a website featuring comprehensive research, including interviews, photography, cultural practices, and social values. Took charge of copywriting, information architecture, and website structure to ensure an intuitive user experience for visitors.

FALL 2021

Design for Autonomous Vehicles: Red Hat

Raleigh, north carolina, USA
Collaborated in a group of 3 to conceptualize the aspirational integration of autonomous vehicles (AVs) into various human experiences, with a particular focus on emergency responders. Designed a user-friendly interface to facilitate access to AVs.
